Pumpkin Bread

Now here is a recipe that can be used anytime, but particularly during the Thanksgiving season as well as the Christmas season. With its sweet, warm cinnamon notes and added nuts and raisins,  you'll be snacking on this pumpkin bread recipe until the last crumb.


  • Prep: 10 mins
  • Cook: 1 hr 10 mins
  • Yields: 8 Servings


1 2/3 cup Flour

1 1/2 tsp Baking soda

1 tsp Baking powder

1 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 tsp Salt

1 1/2 cups Sugar

2 large Eggs

1 1/2 cups Canned pumpkin

1/2 cup Vegetable oil

1/3 cup Walnuts

1/3 cup Raisins


1Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.

2In a 5 quart mixing bowl combine the first 5 ingredients then add eggs, sugar, pumpkin, oil and mix until well combined.

3Then add your nuts and raisins and mix until smooth.

4Pour your mix into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 70 minutes or until a pick placed into the center comes out clean.

5Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes then remove from pan and continue to cool on same rack.

Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature.
