Try this scrumptious tilapia recipe for your loved one this Valentine's Day. What better way to show someone you love them then with bacon.

Don't forget to pair this dish with a nice white wine, like a chardonnay.

  • Prep: 10 mins
  • Cook: 20 mins
  • Yields: 2 Servings

2 pcs. Tilapia filets

1/2 tsp Garlic salt

1/2 tsp Black pepper

1/4 tsp Poultry seasoning

2 slices Bacon

1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil

1/4 Red onion, sliced

1Season both sides of fish with garlic salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning.

2 Wrap each piece of fish with a slice of bacon. (Note: If using a thin filet of tilapia, fold piece in half to create a thicker piece of fish, then wrap with bacon).

3Heat oil in a non- stick skillet under medium heat. When oil is hot, reduce temperature to medium- low and add fish.

4Cook fish for approx 6- 7 minutes a side or until the bacon is crisp and fish is cooked. When finished, place fish onto a plate and allow to rest for 3-5 minutes.

5Using the dripping inside the pan, turn your fire up to medium- high and add in your onions. Season onions with a pinch of salt.

6Saute onions about 3-5 minutes or until translucent and soft. Serve over fish with some rice and veggies.
